the Upcoming : PESTA BONEKA #3, 2012

By the idea of making a different kind of puppet festival, which can involved both the artists, and the communities in a deeper connection, in PESTA BONEKA #3, Papermoon Puppet Theatre and Padepokan Bagong Kussudiardo (PSBK) would love to invite artists and public on several activities.

Not only by presenting and watching puppet performances, but also by making and joining some workshops, and cooking together.

PESTA BONEKA #3 : "Under the Sky of Imagination", would love to present the wonderful works of 3 maestros of puppetry in Indonesia. We plan to invite the maestros who are humble, genuine, and very modest, who has shaped the imagination of many people trough puppetry, who guided people touring in the world of imagination. 

The chosen theme for PESTA BONEKA #3 is: “Under the Sky of Imagination”. It is taken from our reflections and concerns about the world nowadays.

Imagination is needed to provide options in problem solving. The lack of imagination in people these days has caused them to take the instant solution for their life, which seems like the easiest way, however in most cases lead to the wrong decision. Through puppetry, we would take people to explore their imagination, to see, to feel, and to experience something new.

This time, we would love to invite several puppetry artists from Yogyakarta, Jakarta, Bandung (Indonesia) , UK, Istanbul-Turkey, Australia and Germany.
